A SPECIAL COMMUNITY SCREENING

We will gather together to watch Deliver Us, a documentary centered on Black maternal health, birth, and the experiences surrounding the birthing system.

The film will open the door for conversation, reflection, and connection among the people doing the work and the people living the experience.

WATCH TOGETHER.
REFLECT TOGETHER.
TALK TOGETHER.

AFTER THE FILM

THE CONVERSATION CONTINUES.

Following the film, we will create space for birth workers and community members to come together in conversation.

What are we seeing?

What are families asking for?

What do birth workers need?

Where are the gaps?

What can we build together?

A Stronger Black Indigenous Health Ecosystem

MORE THAN A NETWORK

WE DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS ALONE.

There are doulas working in one community.

Midwives working in another.

Healers holding ancestral knowledge.

Organizations serving families.

Mothers searching for support.

People building solutions every day.

The question is: what happens when we connect them?

The Birth Justice Gathering is an opportunity to move from isolated efforts toward relationship, solidarity, and collective possibility.

BRING YOUR WORK.

BRING YOUR KNOWLEDGE.

BRING YOUR STORY.

Whether you are a seasoned birth worker or simply someone who cares about the future of birth, you belong in this conversation.

Come with your questions.

Come with your resources.

Come with the work you're already doing.

Come ready to meet the people you may have been looking for.

For generations, families have carried knowledge of pregnancy, birth, postpartum care, nourishment, healing, and ceremony.

Today, many of the people holding this knowledge are working in isolation, while families navigate systems that do not always recognize their culture, their choices, or the full spectrum of support they need.

Because birth is not simply a medical event.

Birth is a gift of God.

And when we come together, we can create the space for birth to be honored, protected, supported, and found sacred again.
